Here's the mandala I made for Marieke in our private swap. Her birthday is October 20, 1976, which is 20-10-1976. That makes 8 when you add up. Haha, I only now she our birthdays are close. I am October 15 1978. Anyway...
20: Twenty knots at the edge of the mandala 10: Hearts. 9 heart-shaped leaves and 1 heart near the 'M'. 1: 'M' in the middle 9: Roses in Jugendstil as that is a style she likes 7: footprints of her dog 6: birds in her market garden Which makes her birth number 8: 8: A piece of Heather Bailey Fabric as that is a fabric designer she likes. I made it on 30x30cm paper. And since there was some room left in the package I had to make for it. I thought I'd might as well add a few pieces of fabric for Marieke as well.
She just rated the swap and was very pleased with the result! Jeej!
you are so generous with your time, talent and spirit in all your art!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOOOh, so purty!! I especially love the roses. It's so cool how it all relates to one's birthday and number. How do you get it all so symmetrical?? On the topic of "my" butterfly. My art is your art, use the idea any way your heart desires, my friend. :o) That's the best form of flattery. Besides, butterflies are so great for zentangles and mandalas because their so symmetrical, patterned and curvaceous.
