Rice-paddy Art

Personally, I had never heard of or seen rice-paddy art before. Boyfriend knows what I like, so he forwarded an e-mail to me with these pictures.

This is when they plant the rice plants. Nothing special you'd think.

All ready to start growing.

And then it starts showing a little...

And a little more..

The colors are not ink or anything. Just different types of rice.

It needs a little more..

Fully grown and true art if you ask me.

And an up close picture from the ground. Apparently this started in 1993. I think it is really amazing.
